Animal Liberation Front Claim Economic Sabotage Against Rockville Center Dairy Business

from Frontline Information Service

ROCKVILLE CENTER-LONG ISLAND; During the early morning hours of December 30th, members of the underground Animal Liberation Front (ALF) claimed responsibility for a massive act of property damage at a Rockville Center dairy distributor. The activists rendered the vehicles associated with the distributor inoperable with various acts of sabotage. "...in total over 32 tires were slashed, almost all side and front windows were smashed out, and the 6 trucks least visible to the adjacent road had their hoods opened and all coolent lines and electrical cables were cut. In addition the 6 monkey-wrenched trucks had their distributor caps, and spark plugs and housings removed thus completely rendering the vehicles dead," states the Animal Liberation Front in an anonymous communique to the above-ground Animal Defense League (ADL). (See attached communique below)

The activists state their motivations for attacking this business stem from the distributor being a subsidiary of Campbell's Soup's Inc. "Campbell soups is the Nation's largest consumer of battery chicken products," states the ALF. The facility was spray painted with an array of anti-dairy and factory farming slogans. The ALF state "Factory farming not only serves to enslave and murder billions of our animal brethren each year, but also consumes nearly 2/3 of our ground water, pollutes our environment with toxic chemicals and mutenogenic pollen, and allocates resources that could otherwise feed this worlds less fortunate and hungry."

The ALF statement finishes with saying "As greed and capitalism continue to foster pain and suffering, and continues to destroy our planet, we will be out there costing them money!" The recent rise in Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front activities shows that these statements of impending actions on behalf of the rights of the earth and animals that reside on it are not just empty threats, but rather, reactionary efforts to greed and abuse and will not stop anytime soon.
