Just weeks after a raid at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, the ALF struck again in Washington State, destroying lab equipment in the Dept. of Animal Sciences Poultry Research lab in Puyallup, Washington at Washington State University. According to the communiqué, the A.L.F. took action against this facility to take what they say was "a stand against the commodification of life."
Finding no animals in the labs, the brave warriors proceeded to destroy the tools which contributed to the torture and death of countless animals. They also reportedly poured acid and chlorine bleach throughout the building.
The most damage was completed in the Avian Health Laboratory, where
researchers performed tests on eggs, egg products and chickens. Damage
to the Avian lab alone is estimated at tens of thousands of dollars.
Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer also noted that although most of the artwork on the walls of the labs were destroyed, pictures of animals were left undamaged.
In their communiqué, the A.L.F. sent a strong message directly to the vivsectors: "We know what you're doing to the animals. We never forget, and we never sleep."
The action was dedicated to the accused ALF prisoner, Justin Samuel.
